Without exaggeration those Florida-based maniacs can be seen as one

time. In the first album The Ten Commandments was released, which
immediately gave MALEVOLENT CREATION a cult-status in the extreme
Metal scene. Their second album Retribution could secure this
position as well as their third assault called Stillborn.
Another reason for their success is the unbelievable energy they
unleash on stage.
95 saw the release of their most brutal and speedy attack so far,
entitled Eternal.

Recorded live in Los Angeles in 1999.
Last year original vocalist Bret Hoffman returned to
Malevolent Creation for the long running death metal
bands latest CD. Now, they go back to the archives for
a live CD. Live At The Whisky A Go Go was recorded back
in 1999 in Los Angeles with the bands original lineup
of Hoffman, guitarists Rob Barrett and Phil Fasciana,
bassist Gordy Simms and drummer Dave Culross.
Malevolent Creation was touring in support of 1998s The
Fine Art Of Murder when this show was recorded, and the
set list features five tracks from that album. Their back
catalog is also well represented, as they play songs from
1991s The Ten Commandments, 1992s Retribution, 1995s
Eternal, and 1996s Joe Black.
The sound quality on the CD is decent. Live death metal
shows dont usually have crisp, crystal clear sound, and
you wouldnt want that anyway. Live At The Whisky A Go Go
is raw and sometimes a little muddy, but it captures the
power and intensity of Malevolent Creation very well.
